New Westminster's #1 Remote and In-Person Auto Appraisal Service!
Starting from October 1st, 2022, individuals in British Columbia who privately purchase Pre-Owned Vehicles are required to pay Transfer Tax based solely on the Average Canadian Black Book Wholesale Value, which is determined solely by Year, Make, and Model.
This valuation process overlooks crucial factors such as the physical condition, mechanical state, mileage, maintenance history, accidents, and other variables that significantly influence your vehicle’s actual worth. If your vehicle rates below average in any of these aspects, our team of Licensed Appraisal Experts is ready to offer a comprehensive Professional Vehicle Appraisal.
We firmly believe that each used vehicle possesses its own unique qualities, and we advocate for a tax assessment that reflects its true value, accounting for all relevant factors. Our seasoned experts at BC Auto Appraisals are here to provide expert guidance, ensuring a seamless and fair transaction process for you.

Need a Vehicle Appraisal?
Your vehicle’s subpar condition could make you eligible for tax savings. Issues like excessive mileage, mechanical problems, maintenance requirements, body damage, accident history, and more can reduce your tax burden when evaluated through a Professional Vehicle Appraisal. Our licensed experts at BC Auto Appraisals will support you throughout your vehicle acquisition, safeguarding your hard-earned money by preventing unnecessary ICBC Vehicle Tax expenditures.
Should BC Auto Appraisals’ assessed value be lower than ICBC’s Average Canadian Black Book appraisal, you will only be taxed based on the higher of the two values: BC Auto Appraisals’ assessment or the private Purchase Price of your vehicle.
