West Vancouver’s #1 Remote and In-Person Auto Appraisal Service!
Hello there! At BC Auto Appraisals, providing value for our customers. Starting from October 1st, 2022, if you’re a fellow British Columbian looking to purchase a Pre-Owned Vehicle privately, you’ll encounter something called Transfer Tax. It’s calculated based on the Average Canadian Black Book Wholesale Value, taking into account the Year, Make, and Model of the vehicle.
Now, here’s where it gets interesting: this valuation doesn’t consider all the nitty-gritty details like the vehicle’s physical condition, how it’s holding up mechanically, the number of miles it’s seen, its maintenance history, any past accidents, and other factors that can sway its actual value. If your vehicle happens to fall below the average in any of these aspects, don’t worry! Our team of Licensed Appraisal Experts is here to offer you a top-notch Professional Vehicle Appraisal.
We’re strong believers that every used vehicle has its own unique story, and we’re all for a tax assessment that reflects its true worth, taking all those factors into consideration. So, if you’re looking for a seamless transaction, our experts at BC Auto Appraisals are ready to be your trusty guides. Let’s navigate this journey together!

Do You Need a Vehicle Appraisal?
Great news for you and your vehicle! If your car happens to be in less-than-perfect shape, it might just save you some cash on taxes. Things like a bit of extra mileage, some mechanical quirks, maintenance to-dos, a few dings and dents, past accidents, and more can all add up to lower your tax bill when our Professional Vehicle Appraisal team works their magic.
Our licensed experts here at BC Auto Appraisals are your trusted partners through the vehicle purchase process, making sure you hang onto your well-earned money by avoiding unnecessary ICBC Vehicle Tax expenses.
Here’s the cherry on top: if our assessed value ends up lower than what ICBC’s Average Canadian Black Book suggests, no worries! You’ll only be taxed based on the higher of the two values – either our assessment or the private Purchase Price of your vehicle. So, let’s work together to make sure you get the most savings possible!
