Commercial & Fleet Vehicle Appraisal in BC
- BC Auto Appraisals
Independent Valuations for Work Trucks, Vans, Fleets and Equipment
Work trucks, vans and fleet vehicles are business assets, and a generic book value rarely reflects their upfit, hours, kilometres, condition or how they were used. Whether you are financing, insuring, buying or selling a business, or buying out a partner, an independent commercial vehicle appraisal gives you a number you can work from.
We appraise every type of commercial vehicle and equipment, with no weight-class limits, one unit or a whole fleet. Our report is an independent, unbiased expert opinion of fair market value. We don’t buy or sell your vehicles and we aren’t paid more for a higher or lower number.
Who we help
Commercial vehicles and equipment we appraise
There’s nothing we won’t appraise, and no weight-class limits. That includes pickups and work trucks, cargo, step and service vans, box trucks, flatbeds, dump trucks, heavy-duty and highway tractors, trailers, buses, heavy and off-road equipment such as excavators and loaders, farm and construction machinery, and specialty units. We look at the chassis, the body and upfit (racking, cranes, decks, liftgates), kilometres or hours, maintenance records, condition and use, and compare against current commercial market sales.
Fleet valuations
For a fleet we value each unit and give you a schedule you can use for financing, insurance, a sale or your books, with the method kept consistent across the fleet. Fleet appraisals are custom quoted, and the more vehicles you have, the lower the per-vehicle rate.
What’s in the report
A written, dated report with each vehicle’s identification and specifications, upfit and equipment, a condition assessment, photos, the documentation reviewed, market comparables, and a clearly stated fair market value with the reasoning behind it. See a sample report (PDF).

Frequently asked questions
What commercial vehicles do you appraise?
Every type, with no weight-class limits: work trucks and pickups with upfits, cargo and service vans, box trucks, flatbeds, dump trucks, heavy-duty trucks and tractors, trailers, buses, excavators, loaders and other heavy and off-road equipment, farm and construction machinery, and specialty units.
Is there anything you don’t appraise?
No. If it has value, we can appraise it.
Can you value a whole fleet?
Yes. We value each unit and give you a schedule with a consistent method across the fleet. Fleet appraisals are custom quoted, and the more vehicles you have, the lower the per-vehicle rate.
Will the report work for a bank loan or financing?
The report gives an independent fair market value with photos, condition and comparables, which is what lenders typically look for. Each lender sets its own requirements, so check what yours needs before you book.
Can you help with a business sale or a partner buyout?
Yes. We value the vehicles and equipment as of the date you need, so buyers, sellers or partners can work from one independent number.
How do you value upfits and equipment?
We look at what is installed, its condition and how the commercial market values that configuration, rather than starting from a base-model book value.
Can you do it remotely?
Yes, anywhere in BC, using photos, video and documents you send. In-person inspections are available in Greater Vancouver.
How much does it cost, and how does payment work?
It’s a custom quote based on the vehicle, + GST, given in the free consultation. Payment is upfront, before we start work, and law firms can be invoiced.
How long does it take?
Typically 2–3 business days once we have all the information.
Need a work truck or fleet valued?
Tell us about the vehicles and what the value is for, and we’ll tell you what we need.
