Mission’s #1 Remote and Auto Appraisal Service!
At BC Auto Appraisals, we’re here to assist our valued Mission customers in finding ways to reduce their vehicle tax expenses. Starting October 1st, 2022, there’s an important change for British Columbians who are buying Pre-Owned Vehicles privately. It involves a Transfer Tax calculated solely based on a number known as the Average Canadian Black Book Wholesale Value, which is determined solely by the car’s Year, Make, and Model.
It’s crucial to understand that this number doesn’t take into account important factors like your car’s physical condition, mechanical health, mileage, maintenance history, accident record, or any other factors that can greatly affect your vehicle’s true value. If your vehicle falls short in any of these aspects, rest assured that our team of Licensed Appraisal Experts is ready to provide you with a comprehensive Professional Vehicle Appraisal.
We believe in the uniqueness of each used vehicle and advocate for a tax assessment that accurately reflects its true value, taking into consideration all relevant factors. Our experts at BC Auto Appraisals are here to guide you through the process, ensuring a seamless and equitable transaction for you.

Do You Need a Vehicle Appraisal?
Your vehicle’s below-average condition may qualify you for tax savings. Factors such as excess mileage, mechanical issues, maintenance needs, body damage, accident history, and more can reduce your tax liability when assessed with a Professional Vehicle Appraisal. BC Auto Appraisals’ licensed experts will assist you during your vehicle purchase, helping you retain your hard-earned money by avoiding unnecessary ICBC Vehicle Tax expenses.
If BC Auto Appraisals’ assigned value is lower than ICBC’s Average Canadian Black Book valuation, you’ll only be taxed on the higher of the two: BC Auto Appraisals’ assessment or the private Purchase Price of your vehicle.
